On-site jersey personalization: the questions buyers actually ask.

Quick answers6.1
What does on-site jersey personalization cost?
A staffed on-site personalization station starts around $5,000 for a local event, with staffing billed at $250 per hour across setup, live time, and teardown. Travel is $0 inside Orange County, Los Angeles, and San Diego and $900 outside that footprint. Most corporate programs land between $25 and $40 per guest all-in once garments, decoration, staffing, and art prep are combined.
Can you personalize jerseys we already own?
Yes. Client-supplied garments are a normal part of the work. We ask for two or three sample jerseys from the same lot before the date so we can run a heat test for temperature, dwell, and pressure and check for dye migration. Goods are counted in at load-in, counted out at teardown, and any damage in application is documented the same day.
How long does a name and number take to apply?
Application itself is a short press cycle. What determines the guest's wait is the queue, not the machine. Tickets are distributed across lanes by least-pending-work so no single lane accumulates a backlog, and most deployments run two to four lanes with one operator per lane.
How long can a name be on a jersey?
About nine characters in practice, with numbers running one to three digits. Past nine characters the letters have to be tightened or scaled until the name stops reading correctly across a jersey back. We enforce the limit at the intake tablet so it is caught before a press cycle, not after.
What method do you use on jersey fabric?
Full-color DTF transfers applied with a heat press. That combination behaves on the slick, textured, and mesh polyester most modern jerseys are cut from, and the press cycle is short enough to keep a live line moving. Twill, tackle twill, and embroidery are available where a heritage look is specified, but they are slower per unit and suit roster runs more than open queues.
What happens if a jersey is ruined during application?
It is documented the same day with the cause and reported to you at teardown, and if it was our error we cover it. This is exactly why the pre-event fabric test exists: it is far cheaper to discover that a lot ghosts on a sample than on the fortieth garment of a paid run.
Do you handle art and layout, or do we supply it?
Either. Most programs supply a brand kit with a numeral style and any marks. Where a client has no usable files, we prepare the layout — that time is quoted as a stated art prep line rather than hidden in the total. Once approved, the layout is locked into the intake tablet so every ticket produces identical geometry.
Can guests be notified instead of standing in line?
Yes, at premium and VIP tiers guests can be texted when their jersey is ready. At venue scale this is a footprint decision as much as a guest-experience one, because fewer standing bodies means a smaller queue envelope.

Question not covered? Ask a crew lead.
Send garment source, unit count, venue, and hours on the floor. We reply with lane count, crew size, and a written figure.
